Random screen scroll

My lovely Droid Incredible seems to enjoy scrolling side to side when not in use. It's becoming a bit annoying, as I do not wish to set up either my email, schedule an event or stare at just the wallpaper. Any hints? I'm afraid that this is taking a toll on my battery. Thanks!

That's odd. Try cleaning your screen is all I can think of, and that's a long shot. If the phone is sleeping, screen off, it shouldn't be doing anything battery-wise. If the problem persists I would recommend taking it back to the store you purchased it from and have them check it out.

Codzilla, my Incredible will sometimes randomly scroll side to side, but only when it is on. I don't think it has done it while "sleeping"... yet. It also gave me some trouble while trying to type a text in landscape mode. The keyboard would drop off screen and it would start scrolling up the text thread.

It doesn't do either of these things all the time, but seemingly at random. I wonder if it has anything to do with the optical mouse sensing movement/light change??
