I can't be the only person to have thought of this. Right now I have a $9.99 per month premium Spotify account. I use it on my PC , RAZR HD (phone I use), and retired LG Ally that I use as a music player at work (to avoid wearing out my RAZR HD . I sync the Ally by WiFi. If I cancelled my Spotify accout, but shut WiFi off on my Ally, could I keep the music on there indefinitely since it wouldn't be able to have an internet connection and update since I have no account anymore? It would not know what I've done right? I know I would never be able to add more music or add any apps but it would save me money. I also know I can't use the music the way individual files are saved. Someone must have done this right?
