Rattle near the auto-focus

Do this:

1) hold the phone on it's side, screen facing up.

2) From the bottom, use your finger to tap your phone near the camera mechanism. A gentle tap will do, the with the same force you'd use to tap someone on the shoulder.

Does your phone have a slight rattle?

Yes No

Mine does. It also rattles when my phone vibrates from calls or whatever reason, and makes the vibrate sound kind of nasty.

And yes, I still love this phone.

I'm having the same issue.

The autofocus also makes a very noticeable sound when it operates, which my Galaxy does not.

I guess it's meant to be like that.

(Gawd, that was a crummy haiku!) :p

Every Nokia phone I've had does this as well. Nokia n95, n97, 5800. They all do it. It's the auto focus mechanism and It's always been like this on all my phones, so let's not try to pretend the nexus is somehow defective because of this.

Those Nokias were notorious for this sound. Really noticeable when haptic feedback was turned on. Still don't like the noise, but it's not something I'll notice all the time, usually when operating the phone in a sound proof booth or something.
