Help Razr Battery Life

comphateu

Newbie
Hello!
I have a motorola razr, and I feel that the battery life isn't what it used to be all of a sudden. I feel it started to happen after I dowloaded a bunch of 3D game apps, which I have now deleted most of them.

My brightness is automatic but at the momment I do not use data,4g, or bluetooth and such just wifi.

with about 10-25% brightness watching netflix on wifi the battery will drop 40% after around 80-85 minutes of continuous watching. Does this seem normal or is there anyway I can boost the battery life? (Im using ever possible option to cut down on battery usage in settings etc)

Thanks!

P.s- If anyone can add some tips for charging the battery that would be appreciated so far I do this:

-No overnight charging
-No charging more then 3 hours
-Charge phone while its off (should this be done?)
-Unplug phone once its 100%

I'll probably get flamed for this, but don't be anal about your battery. I charge overnight, and sometimes leave it on the charger when I'm at home and forget to unplug it. Battery stays the same. When I got my first Android phone a few years ago, I was super anal about the battery, but as of late, I've realized that battery technology hasn't caught up with the technology that it's powering. I carry a charger with me when I go to work and probably charge it three or four times a day (in short spurts). I used all of the phone's functions like GPS, bluetooth, 4G, etc., and don't sweat the drain. It's really a mindset everyone should adopt... IMO

My Razr started to have the same symptoms as my old Galaxy S. When I charge it, after I hear the notice that the battery is full, I disconnect and I check right away the battery status and I realize that it is only 90% charged...This is the second time when I get this, after using the phone for around 10 days.

Any ideas?

A rogue App will certainly do it . ..

I find that in general, the Razr thin has good battery life with 3G only and bad battery life with 4G on. Razr also gets hotter with 4G on. If watching Flash and the ambient temperature is warmer, easy to hit 50c.

Interesting note is the Galaxy 3 at a stress load apparently gets only to 41c. This is HUGE and would be due to the 28nm chipset (includes the radio). Makes sense, but will believe 100% when I use it. I am about 70% at the moment.

Hi could you explain further? the games were from glu, and some required some service packs to be further dowloaded thanks, :) Ive deleted them now but battery life is still not as good, About 50 minutes of streaming video online constantly while in airplane mode dropped me to about 80% from 100%, Just wondering if other people get this sort of drop and if its normal?

I've about had it with the crappy battery life. It goes maybe 4 hours, and I feel like it's on an umbilical cord most of the time - at my office, in the car, at home. Yep I've got the battery saver things set up. No obnoxious apps. Just regular usage.

Oh and not all 10% increments in its battery calculator seem to be equivalent. The time between 90% and 80% is waaaay different than the nanosecond between 30% and 0%.
