razr+car dock+navigation=dead battery???

today i took my first road trip with my razr. 3 hours in my battery was at 0% from a full charge when leaving. ive had many other android phones that i could drive for days with it on the car charger and would lose some battery but not much.

could it be my charger? its a cheap chinese one that ive had for years. has never given me a problem before though. im thinking that it may not be putting out enough voltage? i have a point mobile (radioshack) charger too, im going to try that on my way home tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.

Think using a tablet car charger will help? i know they put out 3.1 amps as opposed to 1.5 that most car chargers put out.

It's the charger. I had one with my old X that would only charge if the screen was off. A good charger is a good investment.

Ya totally was the charger. Used a new good one on the way home and it was still at a full charge when I got home after a 3 1/2 hour drive.
