RAZR MAXX Battery

I ordered two DROID RAZR MAXXs' through Verizon's BOGO offer last weekend. They arrived Thursday and I charged both phones before use. I charged my phone for about 4 hours and the other phone was charged for about twice that time. I have unlimited data, so I am always connected to 4g; the other phone is on a tiered data plan, so it is mostly on WIFI. I have already charged my phone twice where the other phone hasn't been charged since the initial charge. The other RAZR MAXX currently has 50% battery and the screen has been on for nearly 7 hours my phone has 70% and the screen has been on for 2 hours. Both screens are as low as they can go.

Is this normal or is there something wrong with my phone. What kind of battery usage numbers are your MAXXs' putting out?

4g eats alot of battery on any phone.

Try putting yours on wifi as well? My maxx utilizing wifi and 3g only can last all day (and then some) streaming pandora just fine.

So it doesn't sound like I got a lemon? I am at 50% with 8 hours unplugged and 3 hours 20 minutes of the screen being on.

The first day I had mine, I streamed music over TuneIn Radio, Pandora, Rhapsody, stuff like that over 4G. Ate the battery up. Since then, I've switched to streaming over wifi when I'm able and have been getting pretty good battery life. Yesterday I streamed for maybe 5-6 hours at work on wifi, texted some, used 4G music streaming for maybe an hour or so in the car, about an hour for calls. I'm up 36 hours and am at 50%.

Maybe every manufacturer should think about having non-replaceable batteries like this. I'm a big fan of HTC & Sense and battery life in one of those phones would be a dream come true for me.

With a little wifi and tons of 3g YouTube and surfing the web and some games and a small amount of 4g I have went about 28 hours before I had to plug in.

I ran my phone down to zero last night, final numbers were 14 1/2 hours on with 7 1/2 hours of the screen being on. It seemed to last at 5% for a very long time.

Final 5% killed me, it was like it wouldn't die with nav/netflix/wifisharing.

The most I got out of one charge was 77 hours. That was on 3G/Wifi and just some basic use with screen brightness set very low. I usually can make it 20+ hours. Right now I'm at 50% on 26 hours.

1d 4h 50m 7s and 50% for me. Wifi is a good battery saver it seems. I watched a family guy episode over the wifi last night and I didn't drop any battery. Love this phone!

I noticed on my original DROID (never on wifi) I would drain 20-30% over night. I'd go to bed at 50% or so (with phone on) and I'd wake up, maybe check e-mails and stuff, and instant drop to 20% or lower. On wifi on my Maxx there wasn't any drop overnight for me. I don't have a battery app yet, so with the Maxx's 10% increments, it probably dropped some however.

I haven't done much 3G/4G data yet, but from what I gather it can eat up battery. I make sure to connect to wifi any chance I get.
