Razr Maxx outsold iPhone on Verizon during the last Qtr.

I doubt any android phone besides the s3 can possibly compete with the iPhone5 when it's released. But who cares, buy whatever makes you happy and don't worry about what phone out sells what.

I've seen similar articles to this. Just in general, I don't see it out of the realm of possibility that the Razr Maxx is outselling the iPhone right now. There's been a fair amount of references that Verizon reps are pushing customers towards anything but the iPhone. Android is just cashing in on VZW's push to get everyone on their 4G network.

Once the next iPhone is released, and assuming it will be 4G capable, it'll be back at the top. Then it'll drop slowly and whatever the newest Android phone is at that time will start licking the heels of the iPhone's top spot at Verizon until the next iPhone is released. It's really just part cyclical and part quantity vs quality.

I'm also sure the retailer and carrier get far less money for selling an iPhone than an android (with apple's stranglehold on their distribution network). That coupled with the fact the iPhone is marketed quite effectively by Apple and the iDiot community I'm sure the wage drones at the retail store will be pushing droids alot harder than iPhones.

Whether the Droid HD will be a better phone or not is irrelevant. The S3 will have the greatest number of sales. The S2 was big with sales, and people are hungry for the S3.

Well of course it will sell more, its on all 4 major carriers in the US. Put the Razr HD on all 4 and I bet it outsells the S3 just on the strength of its battery alone. We'll see though.

This is really pointless. Verizon is coming in late and it is not the largest reseller for iPhones. Most iPhone users are on AT&T.

It doesn't help that the iPhone is a 3G CDMA only device and in many areas Verizon's CDMA network is horribly overloaded whereas the Razr Maxx is a 4G LTE device thus no data issues unless you wander into a dark corner of Verizon's network where you only have 3G.

there's no way the droid razr maxx HD on Verizon alone can hope to compete with the iPhone 5 in sales. Android users have a wide variety of phones to get. While apple will only be selling one iPhone 5.

Again what phone outsells what makes no difference. Buy what ever fits your needs and don't worry about what somebody else does. Just my two cents.
