Razr Maxx...speakerphone ques.

Hey all,
Just got a Razr Maxx a few nights ago..coming back to Android from Blackberry.

One of the first things I've noticed is how low the volume of the speakerphone is during calls. Is this the norm or do I, possibly, have a bad device?

Also, it seems as though the speaker clips if you raise the speaker to anywhere near max volume while playing music.

If anyone could comment/shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

I did the same thing, still have the Blackberry in fact. The Razr volume, especially the speakerphone is much lower and "tinny" sounding compared to the Blackberry.

In fairness so does the iPhone and most other phones I have heard.
The thin style of these phones, comes at a price and it's basically volume and quality of the sound. The Blackberry has very loud and clear sound, especially the speakerphone. However even that model has gotten worse over the years compared to the older ones.

When in speakerphone mode, lay the phone down on the table and the sound will get better. Doesn't help much when the phone is in the car though.

My speakerphone on my Maxx isn't loud, but I can clearly hear it even with loud noises around.
