Help Razr resets every time I try to turn on Bluetooth

Oh, now doesn't this just beat all....

Now, whenever I try to toggle on Bluetooth, my Razr resets. Three times in a row so far.

Not sure it's relevant, but I have done the following before this problem started:

Rooted using DoomLord
Accepted the most recent OTA update (lost root)
Restored to pre-OTA using Razr Bootstrapper (regained root)

Any ideas???

Looks like there were some radio updates in the OTA. I wonder if you are using a build that is incompatible with the radios. I'm thinking maybe the OTA updated the radios and the OS but your restore only did the OS. Just a thought:confused:

Maybe so...I'm letting the OTA download again and going to install to see if that helps. I would rather have a non-rooted phone with Bluetooth than the other way around, at least temporarily until there's a root for the latest OS.

(In the meantime, I want to do a search on how to get rid of this Razr bootstrap thing that brings up the bootload menu every time I restart.)

I had that problem with my D2 (always booted into recovery). I uninstalled the bootstrap (Settings | Apps) and it worked normally after that. And by normally, if I chose to boot into recovery, it would boot to CWM, otherwise it would load android.

Re-downloading/installing the OTA fixed the glitch.

Thanks for the info Pupkact - I don't see it in my apps list; I wonder if you and I had different programs or procedures to get the CWM?

I'll look into it in a couple of minutes. I'm on my phone at the moment but I'm sure it changed from the D2.

OK, I peeked around the interwebs. I think you will have to be rooted in order to do this. Under superuser, set the permission to Deny for the bootstrap recovery and you will boot normally. Like I said, you may need to be rooted for this to work. Another thought just popped into my head, you may not have to do anything b/c you are not rooted now and it cannot get SU access.

Well, it's weird because I'm sort of in limbo between root and non-root. That is, with the OTA, I can no longer run certain apps that require root without error...BUT...I still have CWM and can use it to Backup/Restore.

The procedure I followed so I can get CWM access causes the system to go to the bootloader screen any time the phone is restarted. Then I hit power button to select boot normally. This is intentional, as was described in the procedure I followed to install CWM. I was fine with it, except now that I'm not rooted I would rather remove the CWM program.
