Help RAZR signal problems

My droid razr is not getting service at all really. My area is usually 2-4 bars 3g, sometimes 4g, sometimes only 1x. This phone hardly ever finds 1 bar of anything. I've done a factory restore and wiped cache. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix or is it just a faulty/dead antenna? Thanks in advance.

Are others who are using the same carrier having similar problems when their phone is in the same location? If so ... it is a tower problem.

No. It's just that phone. I reactivated my Bionic and it is working like normal.

I read somewhere that the 4.1.2 update caused some problems with connectivity. Is there any way I can flash a pre-update file and try that?
