Help Razr vs Razr Maxx reception

Are there any differences in the radios between the two? I am under the impression that the Maxx is exactly the same as vanilla but with a bigger battery. Anyone want to confirm this who owns/has extensive knowledge of the devices?

The only difference between the two is the battery and the larger backplate to accomodate the larger battery. The motherboard, radios and software are otherwise identical.
