Read if you lost your sound!

The October update silenced my phone. None of the sounds worked. They weren't turned off, they just didn't sound. Don't panic. Just restart your phone.

I've had similar problems like yours. I found that the location of my sound files were not in the correct folders. I had duplicate sound folders from my previous phone. I had to move the sound files into the correct folders. I found the correct folders by trial & error and eventually fixed the problems.
