Help Read/write speeds of Samsung MicroSD cards

The difference in transfer speed between the two is nearly indistinguishable: if there is a difference, of course the newer 128GB card would probably have a small advantage. However, the transfer rate of both are so fast that I would suggest using the higher-capacity card, unless it is proven to be too slow for some applications like 4K UHD recording.

With microSD cards the capacity doesn't determine read/write speed, that's determined by the card's 'class' ranking. This site has info and charts that detail the different card classes:

Take a close look at the designation on your card to see what its class is, that will give you clearer picture on which card will work out better for you. If the 256GB card happens to be a lower class than the 128GB card you might be better off using the 128GB if speed is a factor, or it could be the 256GB is faster so it's a mute question as it's faster and higher capacity.

Regardless of the clsss of the card however, the bottle neck will be the bus speed/throughput of the device.
I think the OP will be fine with either card.
