hi
i was trying to download enhlish-japanese dictionary and all kind of things but my phone just cant read the japanese scripts and i realy need it.
what can i do to make my milestone read those words....its not enough to use just the romaji system.
thanks

I have a litle text editor, TxtPad Lite.
In its setting is a page named "File Encoding".
There you can choose "Japanese (Shift_Jis)".

Maybe TxtPad Lite can help you a little :)

Hello trey200!

Welcome to the forums dude!

Hmm... yes i recall this being a problem in XHTML 1.0....however, ruby characters got better support in XHTML 1.1.....

But i don't know how good the support is in Android which is what u need for ur Ruby Characters....

Try this app maybe??? Damn i am outta options here dude.....: (this app costs money dude)

BEIKS Dictionaries>Language in Android software

and if you don't know what ruby characters are:

Ruby character - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hope this helps....wow difficult answer for this one... i am sorry don't relly know dude.

Anywayz Good luck!

thanks alot it helps alot
its ok if it cost money..a little expensive but ok...just i hope it will work and my mobile can read this 20$ dictionary...it would be sux if it cant read it too
there is no any software update to read scripts for sure?

thanks again

Hmm...what version of Android kernel are you running? hmm let me see if i can i help somehow...

Wow that's not good at all.... hmm i am very sorry to say this buddy, but it looks like you will need an Android kernel / os that has Ruby Character support natively / built in.... DAMN......i have been looking for something but have not found it yet dude.... hmm let me try later in the morning when i am less tired... and more sober hahaha! lol

Keep well dude :)

AHHHH!!! Yes!

This APPEARS to have ruby character support built into it.... : (supports only japanese)
