Help readwrtie protected memory in Kies? Anyone have this problem connecting?

I keep getting this error about "Attempting to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.############ at device managerlib.devicemanagerclass.updateprofiles......." it keeps going and going when i try to connect my SGS


Anyone have this problem? it actually never connects

I unrooted my phone as well as did a factory reset and nothing

I only used Kies once before I rooted to do the factory 3 button mod that Bell came out with

Heres an update...

So I uninstalled Kies, then installed it again. Nothing.

I uninstalled it again and installed it and it worked! I dont get it, I didnt do anything different.
