I'm hearing that Sprint's new WiMax service is now available in my area (Metro DC). While it will not be official for sometime yet people are saying that it is active.
The promise of an Android phone running on a WiMax network is one of the reasons I am giving the G1 a pass for the moment.
While I know it will be sometime next year before I have a shot at an Android phone with WiMax I'll still be able to use the service for my laptop until then.
I have the hardware on order. Assuming it does actually work when I get it I will post some reviews here....
