HiIf you have both devices synced to the same calendar account and both have notifications enabled then both will notify you. Turn off notifications on one of them if you don't want this.

Try clearing cache: settings/apps/gmail/clear cache. If that doesn't work then uninstall it (it won't lose anything) and reinstall it. You may have to redo some settings but no big deal. I just had to do that because, oddly enough, notifications stopped![]()
Sorry, I answered the post as I understood it, and the text of the post did not include the word "not".
Have you checked notifications are on in the calendar app's settings as well as the general system notifications being on? And if it's running a recent version of Android that you haven't accidentally muted notifications from that app? Unfortunately modern Android versions give you multiple ways of muting apps (I can't say where it started as I skipped Android 6 and 7).
