Help recent apps / notifications and settings button not working

Hi all, 1st time poster.
Yesterday my Samsung S7 stopped showing any notifications, and the bottom left hand button (recent apps) doesn’t work.
When I scroll down to show Wi-Fi etc the settings button doesn’t work nor the downwards arrow in the top right hand corner !!

I have no 3rd party apps on the phone and I can't seem to find anything on YouTube.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem. I posted yesterday but have not received a response.

typical troubleshooting:
1) power cycle (power off, then power on)
2) you said NO 3rd party apps, so safe mode is unnecessary
3) settings> backup and reset> reset settings (defaults everything, but doesn't delete anything)
4) turn off auto restore and do a factory reset (same menu as 3)

I am having the same problem. I have a galaxy note 5. In addition my messages notifications no longer work, nor does my setting cog wheel when trying to access from the drop down short cut. All of them stopped working after the update on 03/04.

After an update? You'll probably need a factory reset. Drastic but probably necessary.
