Recently added contacts dont show up when sending txt

Hi everone, I am new to the forums and I apologize if this question has been asked before. I did search for it and was unable to find the answer.

Here is my issue... I have the motorola droid with my gmail account set up to sync contacts. When I go to send a text message, I noticed that anyone that I have recently added to my contacts does not show up when I start typing there name. The only way I can send these contacts a text message is if I go to contacts, select there name then select the txt button. When I added these contacts to my phone, I selected to add them to my gmail account (I have multiple accounts and wanted to place everyone in one spot to make it easier).

If anyone knows how to fix this peoblem I would really appreciate your input.

It might just be that they're not syncing automatically, and they might not be used until they're synced up to both accounts. I don't know if that's the case, but it's possible.

Are you putting their numbers in the mobile field when you add new contacts? If it's not in mobile I don't believe it will let you send texts to the number.
