Recently switched from GNex to Razr

I'm about 19 hours into my experience with the Razr. I recently asked Verizon to send me a Razr to replace my fourth GNex that had issues with holding signal, screeching during calls, etc... (long list).

When I got the new Razr, I set up a few smart actions. I'm a moderate user and I keep my phone on 3G unless i need 4G for browsing or streaming.

I am thoroughly impressed with battery life so far. After 18 hours up without charging, I still have 50% left. The phone is smooth, call quality is good, and i like the form factor.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts. So far, I'm very happy I switched. I almost don't want to install ICS (when it comes) in fear that the update will screw this phone up.

Yea..the RAZR is a nice lil phone. Moto really did a good job overall.

I have some some concerns about ics too, but overall ics is nice. Its a good thing it will be on the latest version or close to latest by the time it gets on the RAZR. I used 4.0.2 on the g nex and it had some issues.

Those issues you stated above are the exact reason I wont buy another Samsung phone again. I had all those problems (and more) with the Droid Charge. It was an absolute nightmare. I've always had great luck with Moto, and I'm still thrilled I bought the RAZR. I've had it for 5 months or so now, and I'm still really enjoying it. I dont think I've ever been this satisfied with a phone in my life actually. My ONLY complaint, is the battery life (or lack thereof), which is resolved with the MAXX. I'm still debating on buying the battery and swapping it on.

Were it not for the data drops that happen several times a day anywhere from seconds to a few minutes, the Razr would be the near "perfect" device. It does a lot of things well- random list using GB:

Build
Storage options (64gb is nice- not happening with Gnex)
Radio reception
Stability (sans the data thing)
Call quality
Speed
Plays games well, including GTA 3 and Playstation
Great sound quality (Volume + IMO is a must own)
Easy to root
Nice display
Great touch response
Webtop options for lapdocks (not happening with Gnex)
Chicks dig it...

Added: That all said, a non fixed battery would make it more near perfect.

I love my razr... The thin form factor is awesome... I think its one of the best phones out... I also am getting big hours out of my battery
