Reception amazingly poor on Tattoo?

OM2

Android Enthusiast
I just found out something today: my reception is exceptionally poor with the Tattoo

I have poor reception anyway
But I found out that if I stand near a wall in my office an tile my head at 55 degrees, then I get 'ok' reception (exaggerating)

But this is with other phones
The Tattoo doesn't want to know
And I have to move to somewhere where there is a much stronger reception :(

Damn!!
Does anyone else have similar probs?

Thanks

OM

on o2.
i'm sure that many years ago they used to be top marks for reception - others say they are now the worse :(
but i'm sure the tattoo is partially at fault for the reception as well though!

o2 are generally good for there reception. i am on orange and im just used to the reception because the area i live i dont get good signal anyway. But it could be to do with tattoo fault

well i dont know abt uk im in usa and using made in tailand tattoo and reception is pretty good even tho i have t-mobile and not att and verizon which are the top networks in us

even i had the same problum of poor reception
i had it send to the htc care
they told me there is some problem with the motherboard
they told me they could replace it
i insisted on replacing teh phone itself
it has been one week nw they will be delivering the handset within this week nw
dont know what happens if have the same problem with the other hand set too
but what i wanted ti know is that is there a signal problem with all handsets or with some special one's

I'm glad someone else mentioned this. My Tattoo gets crap reception too. I recently moved - in my old house I got 2-3 bars. In my new one, no signal at all. I'm O2. I've had to switch to my old phone. I'm in the UK.

If I put a Voda sim in it I get 5 bars everywhere. I've noticed the O2 signal isn't brilliant on my other phone either, but it's noticeably worse on the Tattoo. A weak aerial is my guess. Also apparently O2 use a different signal that has trouble penetrating walls.

So... Poor show, O2 & HTC.
