Hi. I searched around but did not see an answer to this one...
I have a Galaxy S3.
I downloaded MobileIron which is what my company is using for Enterprise email...after installing it and configuring it to my company server, I was taken aback by all of the security that it added to my phone...to include disabling the ability to use facial recognition or swype pattern to unlock, and it mandating that I encrypt my SD card.
So...I contacted support at my company, and they released my phone from the network (while I was talking to the guy, he restarted my phone remotely). When I go into Settings -> Security -> Device Administrators, it has unchecked the MobileIron and the Samsung DM Agent boxes (these were added as part of the MobileIron config process) ... However, when I restart my phone, it still asks me to encrypt my SD card, and when I try to adjust the Screen Lock settings from PIN to Swipe, Motion, Face unlock, etc. those options are greyed out with the message "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage."
So, I'm wondering...is there a way to reclaim these features without doing a factory reset of my phone?
Oh, another piece of info...before the company released my phone from the network, I just uninstalled MobileIron hoping that would fix it...it didn't...I had to reinstall it in order for my network admins to release my phone from the network, so it's still currently installed. I don't think that simply uninstalling it will change anything...at least it didn't the first time I tried.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Rob
