Recommendations for Case & Screen Protectors?

Just ordered my Nexus 5 (32GB, Black) on Friday, shipped Saturday :D

Just browsing Amazon for cases and screen protectors, any recommendations? I'd prefer a nice slim case.

My Moto Triumph had a factory screen protector (VERY well attached, you have to really pull to get it off, but it increased screen sensitivity a lot), just curious if the Nexus 5 comes with such a beast.

I will be ordering the Diztronic TPU case today. $10 on Amazon and all the review are good on Amazon as well as YouTube.
 
Just bought this case... I'm not really a case guy, so I wanted CHEAP. I only bought the case in case it's an important accessory to go along with my tempered glass screen protector. I'll attach a link for it too...

Do a search here and on XDA and most people seem very happy with the Nillkin Tempered Glass. I've never used one before, but I'm sick of the rubberized screen protectors like Zagg, so figured I'd give it a shot. I can't leave my screen naked. It's only been a week or so and I've already got a few little scratches from my jeans pockets (my phone is ALWAYS alone in my right front pocket).

Check out the TYLT VU charger through T-mobile.com. It's way cooler than the Nokia one and you can get it for $48 with a 30% off accessories code. ACCOFFER18 is a code that works as of 3 days ago, and they honored it in store, so no shipping or wait.

I bought the Nokia one, but I think I'm gonna take it back.

Hmmm it is 'way cooler' but not sure if it's 2x the cost of the nokia way cooler :)

LOL, if your nightstand looks like mine, it's well worth it, but I had to fight the same battle in my head.

I like that I don't have to pay any real attention as to placement. I put my phone in the cradle, and it charges. The Nokia wasn't "hard" to place, but it's not as simple as the VU is.
 
I use this Slim Armor case from Spigen for 17.00+ and I ordered a Spigen SGP Crystal screen protector for 8.99 comes with 3. This case also has ridges on the back of all four corners so it stands a bit to avoid scratching the back and camera:D

Haha yea that was my second phone. I wanted to like it so much but there were so many things wrong with it man especially the cameras hits the lens😡😁

I've been extremely pleased with the Diztronic (Amazon) case that I've had on my GNex for the past two years. Ordered one for my N5. It's slim,form fit and gives a confident feel.

several different cases for that brand... any specific one?
 
I ordered two cases.

A very nice quality wallet case. Never had one before and I'm tired of carrying a wallet when I only need a couple things from it. So far I LOVE it and haven't even used the second one. My second one is the Spigen Slim (Ultra Fit) case. It is definitely slim, and the texture is similar but not identical to the N5. It feels nice in the hand, doesn't add much weight, and has a nice lip for the screen to be lifted off of surfaces you lay it on. The only gripe was that I had fitted it for about 20minutes to check it out and I noticed the bottom of the case's edge is much sharper than the N5, and would start to irritate my pinky that I use to hold the phone up in my hand. Nothing too major though. As for screen protectors, I stayed with Spigen, because it was cheap and I heard they were nice quality. I love these screen protectors almost as much as the wallet case. They are SO EASY to put on, they push out bubbles instantly, they don't leave sticky residue and the best part is that once it's on, you can't even tell there is a screen protector. They do not distort pixels or make images grainy and they feel just like the N5's screen. Well received mine today and for $5 it's a really nice case. The carbon fiber is really nice and the case fits perfect. Definitely worth the price.

Side Note: Seidio, which is my favorite case of all, even though it's expensive, just announced today that they now have cases for the Nexus 5.

Glad to hear you liked it. I held off because there were quite a few comments on Amazon saying it wasn't that great. I really like the grey carbon fiber (in pics anyway), so I guess I'll plunk down $5 and grab one.
 
I have a skinomi stick on case for my phone. Great for scratch/general wear and tear protection. Laser cut 3m film, and each case comes with a thick, Self healing screen protector. They are kinda costly, $18 for my lg mach, but damn they are nice
