I am looking for recommendations for a (T-mobile network) phone that has an awesome pencil-like stylus attached; but, is Smaller Than the Note 8???
(Pretty sure I am stuck-on Samsung brand)
(Is a Note 5 my best option?)

You could try the LG Stylo 4. T-Mobile has that at a bargain price.

Thanks lunatic59 - but my problem with the note 8 is SIZE - and in comparison, the Stylo 4 is barely smaller.
Stylo 4: 6.30" (H) × 3.06" (W) × .32" (D)
Note 8: 6.4" x 2.9" x .34"
I want SMALLER (- closer to the Galaxy S7 size)

I doubt you're going to find anything with a stylus at that size.

I returned an LG6, years ago, because the system was so different from Samsung. I have used Samsung(s) since the SCH-U740

Well in that case you are really stuck with Samsung, because their system is different from everyone else's (they make a point of changing everything they can).

The Note 5 is old now - won't support the latest OS and if you can find one it's either used or it's going to have been in storage for years (not optimal for the battery). Plus it is from that weird year when they removed the SD slot. So I'm not sure it would be my choice.
