Recover data from manual copy and paste

Hello all,
I recently had to reset my phone to factory settings due to issues with dropping calls on my phone. I used "Wondershare MobileGo for Android" to back up my phone, thinking (like an idiot) that it would retain my apps' data (i.e., text I entered onto a "Notes" app). Wondershare saved the apps, but not their data. I'm most concerned in recovering information from the following "Notes" app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.jacobras.notes&hl=en

I've contacted the app's creator, but have not heard back just yet. They have an option to backup the files through the app, but I did not take advantage of this before I reset my phone (again, like an idiot). I have, however, copied all files I could through using my non-rooted phone like a USB device. Would it be possible to recover data through a simple copy and paste?

Thanks for your time,
-Andy

Put that on your SD Card, open the notes app, head to settings -> backup and import -> import and browse to where the enml file is stored, see if it will open it.

If that fails, try and open the file with notepad on your PC. It might look a little strange, but sometimes that will allow you to see the contents of files.

Still not working. I was able to successfully add the file but it says "no notes were imported." I looked at the "content.enml" file and it's an Evernote file without any of my Notes content.
