Recover lost wallpaper

I had a great picture as my wallpaper. I switched it to something, and when I tried to switch it back I could not locate the picture. Is there any way to retrieve it? All help is appreciated. Its a Samsung Galaxy S6 if that helps.

Did he turn off Google Photos?
If not, the picture is probably saved there.
If he took it with an Android phone anyway. I'm not sure about scans though.
Dad's are into scanning.
