Help Recovering data from HTC One M9 with a broken touchscreen

Android Question

My HTC One M9 had water damage a few days ago, the phone seems to be in full working order (buttons all work, display is fine, charges and holds charge) except for the touchscreen. Is there any way to recover the data stored internally (mainly pictures but contacts/messages would be good too) without having too use the touchscreen? When I plug the phone into my laptop HTC sync manager says I need to unlock the phone, which I am obviously unable to do.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a Hail Mary, but,it won't hurt to try:
If you have the proper adapters,plug-in a wired mouse & see if that works.
Got the idea from another device forum where the ported aftermarket recovery was touch & didn't work. The mouse was a work-around until someone found a fix.
Good Luck & keep us posted on your progress/results.

Interesting idea. I'll try and pick up the right adapters and see what happens.
