Help Recovering photos without root

How do I recover photos without root?? I have tried apps and programs but they just don't seem to work fr a couple of reasons. For instance, Dumpster cannot be used because it only works if you installed it before deleting the photos, which isn't so in my case. Also, I know about programs like Recuva and a few others. However, the problem which I face is that it is recognised by my manufacturer (HP) but isn't recognised by the different programs I have used. Also, I have tried different ports on my computer and I also tried a different computer to make sure. However, all give the same result: the device just doesn't get recognised at all. Please offer some assistance on how I can solve this programme. Also, I have enabled USB debugging already, if you guys are wondering.

Well, your device not being recognised indicates you don't have the drivers on your PC. Find and install the drivers, switch off USB debugging and then try recovering the data.

Recovery is only going to work on an actual sd card.

If the photos were on internal storage then they're gone. Not coming back. Not even with root. And don't buy anything claiming otherwise.
