That's what you're saying about depression and other mental health issues that are *physiologically* caused, such as lack of certain chemicals in the body, or an imbalance of some sort. These can be easily treated with medication, like lithium, which simply replaces what you're not making on your own, or SSRIs and SNRIs, which moderate and/or replace missing substances. I had severe postpartum depression, separate from the clinical depression I've had my entire life, and without treatment, my daughter would've grown up without a mother.
