Why is the red cross where the lightningbolt should be? And how do i get rid of it?

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Without knowing what device you are using it is hard to know. However with my galaxy note 10.1 I get a red cross on top of the battery icon when I am charging it using a charger that supplies a lower level of charge than it needs (E.g. My tablet cannot be charged by my phone charger)

If this has not helped you please either register to the forum or post again using the same method but please could you let us know the device you are using, whether or not you are using the original charger and anything else you think may be helpful, much better to give us more information than we need than too little!
