Redirection to inappropriate sites

My Galaxy 2's browser keeps redirecting to "bad" sites no matter what site address I enter. How can I stop this? How can I find out what's causing this, an app or is this is the browser (default one)? I don't recall installing any apps lately though.

I would check your installed apps with Airpush detector or an app like that. These will detect apps that hijack your browser.

Thank you for your suggestion! I'll definitely try it and let you know if it worked!
Everything was working fine until I restored several settings using MyBackup. I must have created a backup when the phone was already hijacked.

Asked my friend who's a computer guru to check the phone for me and he found that there was indeed malware on it. It would randomly redirect to all sort of web sites, make the stream player attempt to download adult videos, and he said it could potentially steal passwords too. I wiped the phone and happy to be malware free. Thanks guys!
