This phone so far is absolute garbage to me it randomly shuts down for no apparent reason it was sent to plano texas in feb to have a 'new replacement' sent to me to replace the original phone well guess what friends and neighbors the 'new' phone shuts down all by itself too no warning nothing it takes a hard reboot to get it going again between the original phone and the new phone they have shutdown on their own a combined total of 8 times. I have performed three factory resets wiped the cache partition and removed almost all apps except the stock ones including bloatware. No dice it shut down again today!!! I have plenty of storage on my phone thats not the issue either. FML. If i cant get this issue resolved Samsung can eat a bag of di****s I will never buy another samsung phone again. Oh on a side note my wife has the exact same phone but has zero issues with hers. Things that make you go hmmmm.... When this phone works its great when it doesen't well it just isn't it sucks balls I use my phone for work I'm tired of angry emails from my boss asking why I wont answer my phone or texts. If anyone of there has any suggestions I haven't thought of or tried please let me know I am at my wits end with this. This is Samsung'flagship phone it should just work but it doesn't I have owned previous notes up to the note 7 did not purchase it. With all of the blowback Samsung received from the note 7 debacle you would think they would have learned apparently they haven't.

If understand your frustration and you seem to need a moment to vent.

That said, you’ve done all you can do (factory reset, cache partition reset, only running factory apps) and no one can really help you on line.

Your next course of action will be to reach out to Samsung and get a replacement.

Most likely the phones you received form the warranty were refurbished and most likely were not QC’ed properly. It has happened to nearly ALL phones where a warranty/refurb is sent to replace a defective phone.

The note 8 is a solid device, your wife can attest to it, i can attest to it (running a launch day first run preoductrin copy myself) , and any thousands of others can attest to it. You were simply sent a lemon, and your only recourse is to complain/sort things out with samsung.

Best wishes...
