Refurbished Galaxy Note 10.1 or ASUS MeMO Pad Smart

This will be my first tablet, and it's becoming a hard choice.
I almost bought the asus memo pad smart on amazon, but I found a refurbished galaxy note 10.1 for a good price on amazon too. I will be using it as a substitute for most of my books and notebooks in college, web browsing, gaming and as a flight planner.
Is it worth the risk of buying the refurbished note??
Which one should I buy??

I'd say go for whichever is cheaper.
The major difference between the two is that the Asus is a quad-core 1.2Ghz and the Samsung is a 1.5Ghz dual core.
Both should suffice with what you plan on doing. :)

Strange, as far as I know, the asus is a quad core Tegra 3 T30L 1.2GHz and the note 10.1 is also a quad core, but it's an Exynos 4 Quad (4412) 1.4GHz.
Everywhere i look these these infos differ!!!

Oh oops. I thought you had meant the Galaxy Tab 10.1 instead of the Note 10.1.

In that case, go for the Note 10.1. As long as it's from a trusted dealer/seller, refurbished shouldn't matter too much.

The one I was looking is sold by BigOutlet, that has 5 stars and 96% positive ratings over the past 12 months and the order is fulfilled by Amazon. Can I trust this deal??

Sounds legit. Do they have a return policy?
If they do, just buy it and if it doesn't function properly, return it.
