Regina Launcher: nice,but...battery drainer?

Just remove its setting as default launcher and give that to another launcher and reboot the phone. The phone should not load Regina at boot up anymore.
 
I've never used regina before, but your backup settings should be saved to your Sd card. I use Go launcher, and anytime I've re-installed it, the restore backup functions as it should.

To accurately gauge how much a power drain any launcher is craeating, you have to uninstall all the other launchers you have installed. Leaving just the launcher you wish to test and the default launcher that comes with the phone. Android pre-loads a lot of things into memory for quick access, so by uninstalling it you take a possible error out of the equation.

You don't even need to uninstall it.

Just install another launcher from the market, press your home key, and select the other launcher. Android will automatically close Regina.

In any case, I noticed battery drain with Regina as well, I found Claystone to be much less battery intensive.

I tried this and it worked! I made TW launcher default and rebooted, and I now see that Regina is no longer in the list of running apps. And it was great to not have to uninstall Regina to try this out.
