Registered on network.. but no signal.

Hello All,
I have this strange problem with my new S4 Mini... Bought jus 2 days back.. got an update last evening.. Since morning there have been network problem.. once i restart it works well and as soon as i visit the place without network range and manually scan for networks, it indeed says that i am registered on network but i dont get signal on my cell untill i restart.. this process follows all the time i am within my cellular range and outside.. please help with solution, if any..
And possibly there was an occasion that i could access my internet even though there was no signal showing on screen.
Urgent replies will be highly appreciated.

Is network selection set to manual, maybe ..?

I think I would just take it back to the network, explain the problem and maybe add a gentle reminder that you're still within the cancellation window (assuming you are with a 2 day old phone).
