Unless you are rooted, you can't actually fully uninstall the play store/market.
Try opening applications or application manager in settings, go to the "all" tab and scroll down until you find "Google play store" . That shows you it is still there.
If you don't see it in your app drawer, try rebooting.
You can also try long-pressing on the home screen (in an empty area) and select "Shortcuts" Then select "Apps" or "Applications" and scroll down to "play store" This also verifies you have the app, and also gives you a way to make a shortcut on your home screen.
Outside of these options, all I can think of is to do a factory reset. That should really be unnecessary, Like I said, unless you're rooted, you can't actually delete it or uninstall it.
