I got a tablet from my work which uses a custom OS over top of Android. I tried resetting it to factory mode but it didn't change anything. How do I remove the OS and put the normal Android OS on it?
First we'd need to know what the make and model is of the tablet to determine if it is even possible. Android must be built specifically for that device and if the manufacturer doesn't provide that and there aren't any independent developers, it might not be possible.
Then you may be in luck. Samsung devices are fairly common and the Tab A certainly should have stock firmware available from www.sammobile.com. Of course there are 16 versions of the Tab A so you'll need to match it to the exact model number. You might also try using Samsung's Smart Switch and perform an emergency recovery, which essentially overwrites the existing OS with stock. For that you'll need your serial number so it can be identified correctly, but it might be easier than flashing the tablet manually.
