Hi everyone.. for first, excuse my bad english!!
I'd like to ask this problem: is the remote.conf file the file (the only one?) that deals with the IR remote?
I do not explain a behavior:
then..box android, with original rom and its fully functional remote control (different from the usual remote controls of all the android boxes, this one has fewer keys).I extract the file remote.conf (taken from \ system \ etc) and save it on a usb stick.For various reasons, I change the box's rom with a similar model but of another brand, where everything works except the external display with the clock, but it is not a problem for me.
With this rom, the remote "different" stops working completely, while instead a "classic" remote control of the android box works perfectly. Then I take the file remote.conf of the original rom from usb pen and replace it in the aforementioned folder. Restarting and nothing to do ... only the "classic" remote control works while the original one does not work.
In the various tests that I did I also completely deleted the remote.conf file from the \ system \ etc folder and restarting it, magically the same works as the classic remote control, despite the absence of the remote.conf file ....
but then, what is this file for? thank you!
