Remote Desktop connection

I know this isnt the correct forum and I did place my query under the ZT tablet forum but not enough peeps and no joy till now.

I think the question is kindda generic and not necessarily dependant on the device in question.

"Just bought my mother an ZT-180 tablet but having problems walking her through some of the features by phone.

She's in the UK, I'm in Germany.

Is there an app we could use so that I could connect and see what she is doing in order to talk her through things ? We trried Teamviewer as we have used this in the past < PC - PC > but the Andriod version of TV only allows her to connect to me and not vice versa.

I only seem to be finding apps that allow the Droid to connect to a remote PC and not the other way round !

Appreciate any help"

Webkey may meet your request, but a little complicated.

Droid VNC Server and Remote Control add-on can view and control android from PC, but mainly work for WiFi now. But you can try them via 3G connection.

Android Screen cast do the same thing, but need USB connection.

Thanks for that John.

Looking through both Webkey and Droid VNC,, seems the device needs to be rooted in order for them to work so that's a no go.

Not sure how Android Screen cast is supposed to work. Is it my mother would need to connect the tablet to a PC via USB her end ? I then connect to her PC and am able to see the Droids desktop ?

Once again, thanks for your input.

Yes, android screen cast may work for you. It's a good idea that your mother connect the tablet via USB connection, then she share the PC desktop with you.

Android screen cast need install Android SDK on your monther's PC at first, it's a little complicated. But maybe you can help do it through shared PC desktop.
