Removable Battery?

Loving the specs that I have heard thus far but does anyone know if Note 6 will have removable battery? I love that option but most phones tend to be moving away from this.

I can say with almost 100% certainty that the Note 6 - and future Galaxy devices - will not have a removable battery. Battery technology has evolved to the point that swapping out batteries is no longer necessary... and with a rumored 4000 mAh battery slated for the Note 6, it should go for a day or two, even with heavy use. Fast charging and wireless charging just adds to the list of benefits: and an IP68 rating would be virtually impossible with an old-school battery cover. Samsung is not going to throw all that out for the handful of modders out here who rely on battery pulls to get out of a bootloop. It's selling phones to the millions of stock users who want a good, reliable device that can stand a little water and dirt.

The S5 is waterproof with a removable battery. It isn't a deal killer for me, but I can't tell you I am happy about a non removable battery.

I guess its just something i have to get used to. Which stinks. love just having an extra battery ready to go. I do realize that note 6 may have 4000 or 4200 mAh and that's great but by my second year i feel that batteries tend to wear out and no longer function as they did initially and that's when having the extra battery pays dividends. I do realize there are alternatives to a straight removable battery but nothing, imo, is as easy and convenient to carry on person.

I personally perfer a removable battery but The Chief is most likely right ( can't give him to much credit :D)
A removable battery extends the life of a device and companies want to sell more units.

Lateck,

Yeah, I love having removable battery options. It helped me add an extra year lifespan on my Note 3 (and probably would've been almost 4, had I not switched to T-Mobile).

That said, if the rumors are right about the Note 6 being ip68 waterproof, then just like The_Chief said, it won't have a removable battery. I'm willing to sacrifice that, as long as they bring the microSD slot back, just like they did on the Galaxy S series.
