Remove background data restriction notification

This is so annoying, I have background data restricted in mobile data because I don't want to go over my limit, but that stupid notification "background data restriction" is always in the bar and I keep on accidentally pressing it. Is there any way to remove that notification?

If not, is there any way to restrict background data any other way so that the stupid popup doesn't keep showing up in the pull down menu.

No idea, but I sure as hell would like to know how to get rid of it too. This and the useless (it's always on auto anyway) brightness control takes up half of my notification drawer, it's just way stupid. I'm never going to enable background data anyway, but that damn notification makes me occasionally click on it by accident then scramble cursing all the way to quickly disable it again before any apps get any funny ideas.

Also, that damn warning sign keeps leading me to think there's something requiring my attention, when not only is it not the case, but in fact the alarming situation would be NOT having background data disabled, the exact opposite!

So. Please. I'm rooted - someone tell me which file or which line in a file do I need to banish from existence to get rid of that idiotic notification...?

Anybody...?

...pretty please with a cherry on top...?

+1

I don't like these sly interfaces, crafted to support a data thieving ecosystem, with total disregard for how it affects the user experience.

Also noticed in Android 5, the 'Close All' apps button has been removed... very sneaky & dishonest.

Eagerly awaiting Tizen or other mobile OS which actually cares about user experience.

I'm not familiar with what you guys are talking about..maybe this is lollipop?

When rooted, you can use the xposed module notifyclean by defim.

I use it..simple and effective to prevent any particular notifications you don't want.

Easiest thing in the world. Go to SETTINGS.......SOUNDS AND NOTIFICATION......NOTIFICATION....WHILE LOCKED select do not show notifications. good luck. It will not eliminate the little triangle on top but only the banner. They want you to use background data as much as possible for their financial interest.

To Putinvladimir1: Thank You ! Worked instantly just as you directed - and now I can see my lock screen without the stupid "background data restricted " alert on 24/7.
