Remove Enter password to unlock

Hi,

Is there a way to remove the "Enter password to unlock" on Android 2.3? It is a Samsumg galaxy Ace

exactly what does this code do?
I want to know if its safe to try it, just for knowledge, i hope it won't erase any data.

Seems to be some sort of network unlock code (the only info I can see is here but it is for the Samsung Omnia.)

Do you mean you want to remove the screen with a password when you unlock the phone? (E.g Press unlock > phone goes immediately to password screen > enter password> home screen)

If so that should be under Settings > Location & Security > [Something like] Lock Screen/Screen Unlock

Not exactly, the OP has probably forgotten the password and is trying to find a way to skip the password screen altogether and go directly to home screen.
