Remove icons from dictionary.

When I type certains words (note, right, left) my dictionary keeps replacing them with small basic icons.

Can anyone please tell me how to stop this happening? I have searched throughout the language/dictionary settings and can't find anything to turn it off.

I remember turning it on once not knowing what it was going to do... but I can't find the setting now I know I don't want it!

It's related to whatever keyboard you are using. For example, Swiftkey gives me emoji suggestions like you get. However I have autocorrect off, so I only get the suggestion, and what I type won't get replaced without my consent.
