Help Remove Lock to answer phone

Hi Droid 4 crew!
I have a Bionic but my sister just got a Droid 4, per my recommendation.

My Bionic doesn't have this and I don't know how to remove it.

When my sister gets a call she has a LITTLE LOCK in the middle of the screen that must be hit BEFORE you can click on Answer ...on my Bionic, I just click Answer.

Is there a way to remove that little lock step?

This might be a result of having a security measure (pin, password or pattern) lock to unlock the phone. Does she have one on? If so, try disabling and let us know if it fixes the issue

She has to hit a lock, then answer?

When I have the lockscreen on, I must drag the lock to the right in order to answer the call (so I don't answer by accident); but when the lockscreen is disabled, all I have to do is press "Answer."

My wife just got a Droid 4 too (this week), after my did sister last week. My wife's doesn't have that problem like my sister has.

I will have to track down my sister and see if the problem still persists.

I barely caught up with my sister to see if her phone is still doing the lock thing before answering.

And YES, I just tested it.

When her screen is off and I call her, a small LOCK with a Circle around it appears in the middle of the dark screen. To answer, you have to tap on the LOCK and than the other phone screen appears where you can then click on Answer.

My wife's new D4 doesn't do that, bought less than a week apart, which is strange.

Any ideas to remove the little lock and only have a phone screen appear where you you just click on Answer, would be appreciated.

She's hard to catch up to, so any ideas I should try will take a little time before I can let you know if it worked on the D4.

Sounds to me like she way be running a 3rd party lock app. That lock with a circle is an ICS thing. Either she is running an ICS ROM, or she is using something like widget locker. If the latter is the case, then there may be a setting for it from within the app. If she's running a ROM, you may get better support in a thread regarding that particular ROM.

I was with her at a Verizon Company Store when she bought it full retail new a couple weeks back. I wonder if it was a returned phone she got.

She is totally technically challenged and I saw her phone has done it from the get go.

I will look in her managed apps to see what's installed.

As I said, it takes a few days or so to catch up to her. I will let you know what I find.
