Removing Empty Gallery Files

:confused::confused::confused: I have 4 image folders in my gallery which have no photos in them, just folder titles and a number suggesting that there are images in the folder. Is there a way I can remove the folders... when I click onto the folder there isn't an option to delete because there is nothing in them. I have tried to remove by using Polaris Office but all I can see there are dozens of files which are labelled PicasaImageTemp followed by a number.

Use the app QuickPic for this task, free in Play Store.

BTW, the app is a far better picture viewer than the stock gallery :)

If they were associated with Picasa, they stay there. I tried Picasa, didn't like it.
There are 4 empty folders on the phone with nothing since I deleted all the photos from Picasa.

I played with QuicPic. The folders were gone. I went back to the regular gallery, and the folders are there. ES File Explorer doesn't see them, either. I know it's Picasa as it has the Google icon on the folder.

I have installed QuickPic and its OK. The folders which were in the phones Gallery App remained, however, I have now managed to clear them by going to 'manage apps' then deleted cache and I am left only with the folders which have something in them. I am going to continue with QuickPic though and while the folders don't show in gallery app the picasa root files are still there.
