removing home screens

can i get rid of the other 6 other home screens and only show the 1? I know i don't have to use them but i don't like them being there

LauncherPro Plus and some other 3d party launchers will let you do this.

Not sure if this works on all phones (it works on my SGS2) But if you pinch to zoom on the home screen it brings up a overview of all your screens and you can remove them that way.
