Removing items from Always On Display?

Seems like an easy thing to fix, but I can't seem to remove calendar events from the Always On Display. Anyone else having that issue?

Have you gone into your lock screen widgets? That's my best guess to enable or disable the calendar or schedule

Yes, everything is unchecked there. The lock screen doesn't have the calendar events, though. They're just on the Always On Display.

Perhaps it's in the calendar events app settings or it's a widget. If it's a widget vs a shortcut, long pressing and removing it and then adding the shortcut back might be the fix.
