Renaming saved shortcuts on home screen of Gaxaly Tab 2

I have a Gaxaly Tab 2 10.1. In the original software I could save shortcuts to my home screen and then rename them (ie. google instead of www.google.com). I recently updated the software to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and that function is gone. Can anyone tell me how to rename shortcuts in the new software. So far I hate 4.2.2
