Help repair or clean trackball?

OK, I wondered if this was going to happen. the G1 trackball doesn't seem to recognize when I roll it to the right anymore. It's acting like my old PC trackballs did when they needed to be cleaned. But I can't tell if there's any way to clean it.

Since the trackball hardware is the same as a blackberry, I would look around here:

An alcohol wipe and a lot of patience is usually the best, and cheapest, way to go.

q-tip and rubbing alcohol did the trick.

I also discovered that cnn.cn sells blackberry trackballs as replacements for the g1:
