Replacement Battery Help?

I am having terrible battery life on my LG Spectrum, over the course of 1 day with light to moderate use at most starting with a complete charge at 8 am, it's dying by noon, recharged, almost dead by 5, and the allowed to be under 10% before charging all night, then we begin all over again.

I'm rooted, set the governer to conservative, using lux brightness control, have settings at the most conservative, bluetooth off, gps off, wifi when possible, and in the process of freezing bloatware.

Maybe my stock battery is just crap, but I'm wanting to get a replacement and spare to compensate for the poor life, but I have no idea what brand is best to buy... I considered an extended battery, but I already have a durable case and would only be interested in one that didn't affect how it fit in the standard case.

Thanks in advance for any and all info!

Check out spectrum II stock battery. More math and fits. Check this forum there is talk about it and a few people have used it

I really could usethe extended battery, but I'm too poor to keep putting in a new battery and case in a new phone, i wish they could make one that fit in the standard Phone profile... what's the story with the new spectrum ii battery, i could be leaning in that direction if its worth it

Last I remember seeing, people were reporting like 2-4 more hours with that battery than stock.

Personally, I don't see the issue. My phone battery isn't that bad. It's a smartphone... daily charges are expected.

Around the house on wifi, my phone will probably last 2... MAYBE 3 days (full to dead) given the percentage drops that I see throughout the day/overnight. I've never let it run that far to see. Maybe I shold though, just to find out just how long it will go. *shrug*

Out and about, life's horrible if you leave 4g enabled. This is typical and expected behavior. If you want your phone's battery to not swim in a sea of tears.... disable 4g unless you're actually using it. This is a bit harder since the 4g toggles don't really work.

System Settings > Wireless & Networks (more) > Mobile Networks > Network Mode >
4g - LTE/CMDA/EvDo or LTE/CMDA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA - either will work, the first one is the typical one... the second just enables more modes we don't use.
3g - LTE/CDMA or CDMA/EvDo - Either of these will work.

Don't ask me exactly why you need all three of LTE/CMDA/EvDo combined to get 4g. I don't really know.

Basically, 4g is a battery hog. It has to be in order to keep that high bandwidth. You don't get something for nothing.... Analog: You want a fast car? You don't get gas mileage.... You want gas mileage? You don't get a fast car. Same idea here with battery life and internet speed.

I noticed that my battery life was slightly worse after I installed CM10.1 RC4 and RC5. For me, the fix was to change my e-mail sync'ing to "15 minutes" rather than "Push". Now, the battery life is pretty good.

I'm not conservative about my battery usage, and when I want 4G LTE, I want it now. I don't use Wi-Fi. I don't hesitate to turn on the hot spot. I rotate between 2 extended batteries. I have the docking station always charging one. I like the extended battery for better grip. The only downside for me, is that I can't find any cases or belt clips that fit the extended battery.

CM10.1 doesn't take very long to start up compared to the stock ROM, so switching batteries is less painful than it used to be for me.
